Message Coils may be something in the future, the reliability of the engine currently remains a priority in the budget.

So generally speaking, we know running stock shocks with any kind of drop is frowned apon usually. Running Megans on stock shocks generally is a horrible idea. However taking the following variables into play, could these setup potentially work?

- Usually a drop takes the OE shock piston to a position where corrosion and scuffing may have developed. Since the massive increase in ride height, the Megans could bring the piston back into an acceptable area, with little worry about bottoming out...

- Heat build up from the higher spring rate during rebound on the valve bodies will cause the shock to wear out faster. Doing ES bushings on all control arms, uprights, etc should absorb the increased energy caused by a much higher spring rate during a rebound, because were fighting 18 locations of friction, vs deflection (deflection should increase rebound energy IIRC). And since with the ES bushing in every arm, this should not only slow suspension movement, but also limit movement as well? The only downside is, the less weight, the less energy required for the spring to rebound to the settled height.

Back in the day I had ES bushings on my S14, a ~2.5" drop, and crappy GR-2's, they held up for years, after hitting numerous potholes and driving on horrible MN roads.
