So now I have tracked down my coolant leak that I thought was the hard inlet/oulet pipes. Nope! It was the passenger head gasket in the front. So I tore the motor down and put a rachet on the head bolts. all are tight eccept for the one front towards the middle that is shorter in length than the others. As I turn it there is no resistance. It wont back out iether. just free spin. I finally get it out expecting to see mangled threads on the bolt but the bolt looks perfectly fine. However inside the block there is old damaged threads laying around. I use a magnet to clean out the hole. Sooooo, Now I have a motor with one stripped out head bolt hole on the block side. CAN ANYTHING BE DONE TO SAVE MY MOTOR????? Z1 says no, replace block. and they wont take it as a core so if I buy one I must pay for a core charge as well! All this after I just spent a few thousand to replace all seals and gaskets! Any advice???
