Message the harness to the ABS actuator is that there is constant 12V. In the '96 manual it says to disconnect battery. I assumed it always said that just for safety, but never paid much attention. When I disconnected the harnesses to the actuator, I heard a short buzz/valve motor sound. This was recently after my Brembo caliper install and couldn't get a solid pedal after hours of bleeding with 2 people or a Motive bleeder.

I went a step further and followed the FSM and then cracked the lines at the actuator with a rag below them to bleed any air remaining that was trapped. My brake pedal feel is solid and better than it ever was.

Wether it was the power disconnect or cracking the lines, I'm not 100% on. I think I did have some small bubbles in the fluid when I cracked the lines so that could have been it.

I came to the conclusion of this since there are no bleed nipples but you still have to activate the actuator system to push the fluid out. My VW's are like this and require the dealer or VAG COM to activate and I assume Nissan has something the same.

So my advice for the 94-96 is to do all four, then crack the lines at the actuator, all while having the battery disconnected. Someone should test it with just the battery disconnected to see and clear up the no bleed nipple confusion.
