Subject	oil coming from diff?

Message	I appear to be losing oil by the driveshaft connection at the rear diff. It has slung diff oil on the ground and on my exhaust. is this the part I need to replace with? [38189] DRIVE PINION OIL SEAL. I've never heard of one of these going bad... then again not many diffs have 305000 miles on them. Thanks in advance! TT BEAST IN PROGRESS!
