1990 ZX TT
I have a miss on cylinder 6.
For a while it was coming and going...now its permanent.
I have ohm'd the injector, high...replaced with a 12ohm injector...and connector, no positive results.
I thought I diagnosed it as a coilpack connector so I have repaced that connector...carefully ensuring that I matched the wires/configuration...and that did not fix it. I now wonder if I crossed some wires???

I switched coilpacks around and the stumble did not migrate...so I am confident its associated with location #6:
I am assuming its either:
1) the plug/contact of the coil connector.
2) some sort of electrical impulse distribution (to the coil) issue
3) the replacement injector
4) the new injector connector
5) some sort of electrical impulse distribution (to the injector) issue

I want to see if the sparkplug is sparking.
I found on this forum:
1. Disconnect ignition coil assembly from collector.
2. Connect a known good spark plug to the ignition coil assembly.
3. Place end of spark plug against a suitable ground and crank engine.
4. Check for spark.

Will the sparkplug just spark...without #3 (grounding it)?
How do I hold the assembly near a ground without getting shocked?
Thanks
