So...I just purchased a '90 ttZ not too long ago and the previous owner did the PRVR bypass...well, as you can see he did it a little bit different than the instructions on tt.net... the hose that comes off on the other end of where the brake booster hose connects to the intake manifold he has capped off with a screw ....and then the hose that's connected to the balance tube part where the other end is connected to the Fuel Pressure Regulator is T'd into the Carbon Canister hose that's of course connected to another part of the balance tube. MY QUESTION IS: (especially if your a ttZ owner who has deleted their PRVR), could this different/extended-length hose set up (or the PRVR deletion in general) be the reason that I have to push the gas to start the car once the engine is warm?...b/c it starts up fine when cold... and per the FSM, "When the Fuel Temperature Sensor is higher than specified, the ECU turns the PRVR control solenoid valve to ON and raises the fuel pressure." ... so if the PRVR is not there and can't be turned ON to raise the fuel pressure when the Fuel Temperature Sensor is higher than specified, I would think this is the reason I'm having to hit the gas...so that the fuel pressure raises which then of course allows the car to start. Thoughts?
