Inner tie rod - I never really carefully checked for play, I 'thought' it was a bit loose and then I also looked at all the grease shown in the first picture of my original post and thought that it was not supposed to look like that. Are you saying that looks "normal" (just in terms of the grease being visible like that)? Outer tie rod - I think I'll just leave it as is since it does not seem to be bad based on shaking the wheel and pulling on the tie rod itself, there was no play. What do you think? Inner tie rod dust boot - I definitely need to replace it. Have you seen this "tool", they say that it can be used to remove the inner tie rod without removing the outer one.
