| hi everyone. i've done some looking around and have found some different answers but none that relate directly to my circumstance. on to the problem, i read the wiseco directions and from the help of another member on here we got a measurement of .015 for the top ring and .026 for the bottom. now i know wiseco says to go with .017 for the top and .019 for the bottom. my motor is a 87.5/20 over bore with .0035 piston to bore clearance (plan on boosting well past 20psi). now i know i can sand/file my top ring out another .002 to get the .017 that wiseco recommends, but the bottom ring is to large therefore i was wondering if i should get a set of 88mm piston rings or will the .026 work? any thoughts? if this is in the wrong section i apologize and hopefully the mods can move accordingly
