But I had a trusted friend with me who has many years of experience doing auto service work, and I cant imagine missing that step since the TTZD write-up explicitly lists it. I do seem to recall there was some issue with the gap though. As in it didnt seem to want to open up to 4mm, or it didnt want to reduce down to 4mm, but in the end I thought we got it. I think this is going to be the first thing I inspect when I get it back open.
