Message	i ended up taking a metal saw and cutting off flush with the cam shaft, then took a drill bit slightly smaller in diameter and and proceeded to drill through the dowel pin. Then the sidewalls were so weak i was able to tap with flat head and pull pieces out. This was all down with the motor in the car, kind of a tight angle to get the drill in there though.
