This issue started last week when my red top optima battery went dead from non use . When I put the jumper box on the battery the engine tried to ( weakly ) turn over with the key out of the ignition . I got the car started but it duplicated to problem of going dead and trying to start every time i jumped it, several times over the next few days . I took the ( 3 yr old ) battery back to the store today and it tested bad so they gave me a free replacement red top . I got home , put the pos side on and when i touched the ground to the batt the engine tried to turn over so i took it off .I put it back on and it was fine . I started the car and cut it off several times with no problems but obviously there's something going on . Any thoughts on this are appreciated .
