I recently removed my HICAS and replaced it with the NA pump. It wasn't that bad if you have everything on hand like the j tube, fittings, washers etc. I used a dremel to cut all the hardlines. The worse part is all the ps fluid that leaks everywhere even after you think you've drained the system. I used the Z1 write-up which helped me figure out how to remove the HICAS parts in the rear of the car. There's a write up on this site but I can't find it. It really is self explanatory when you start pulling it out. One thing I recall on the write is it said to remove the radiator and a bunch of other things to reach the pump. The only parts I had to remove to get to the ps pump was the IC pipe and charge pipes. I also had to use the NA high pressure hose because I couldn't get the TT hose to connect to the pump.
