dawg1, You can safely run the car on E85 if you drive responsibly. While it was designed to run on premium fuel, the computer will recalibrate for the change in fuel without any engine damage, provided you don't beat the daylights out of it. I've had my 90 NA since new and its reached 77 000 km (47 000 miles), and I've never once heard any preignition with the ethanol added to the fuel. My wife's 04 Lexus es330 has run flawlessly on the 10% ethynol since new as well. I suspect it'll do just as well on the E85 too. That said, I'm 63, the Z32 is just a toy, and I've never raced it, not once. But, if you were to be inclined to have a heavy foot, and had to show your manhood behind the wheel frequently, you'd best put the highest octane fuel you can buy in the tank, and pass up the E85, and the 10% for that matter. Fried valves and pistons are expensive to replace.
