Message While I had the engine out replacing my turbos, I took the opportunity to replace the knock sensor as well. Of course the connector was wasted, so I crimped on a mini female spade, stuck it on the terminal and potted it. Engine in and running, and I still have code 34. I tried the resistor trick and still no love. Will an out of spec resistance throw the code as well? I have read that the sensor normally has ~6M Ohm resistance ad I am wondering how I am throwing the code. I am going to see if I can borrow a buddy's o-scope tonight and look at the signal. I am also going to try putting the resistor in the engine harness side without the sensor connected to remove that variable.
Any other ideas? (I did read the FAQ)
