I have a tt with a Dupree auto trans. After the install years ago, it ran strong on street and highway. Had tranny flushed for road trip with syn. Fluid and at start of trip the car would run high rpms and never shift to od. Once we hit mountains, tranny fluid blew out (road side mech. Said it was overflow). Had tranny flushed again..,,and still won't shift to od unless I let off accelerator and the press down again. Even the...at 65mph....it wants to stay out of od. It runs great around town but freeway rpm issue limits trips. Is this a damage to trans or did I smoke a sensor of some sort? I don't want to assume anything at this point as I know there is always more to the Z than meets the eye. Car is 90 tt conversion. Upgrades in tranny.
