| I'm somewhat undecided on which Turbos to invest my future build in. Intiallialy I thought JWT 550s would be the best option, but after purusing twinturbo.net I'm now not so sure... This Z will be used for Club track days, and street cruises.
It is a low mileage 1994 twinturbo, manual, slicktop, with 2.5" SMZ exhaust, Pod, HKS Electronic Boost Controller, StopTech Brake Kit, PowerTrix Ultralite Coilovers, and HICAS removed. Upcoming plans would consist of adding MSP Manifolds, SZ 3" DPs and 3">2.5" TPs, Nismo Fuel injectors (300degree rail) and ECU tune. I think I'll be content with 450-500HP. But need a setup for club track Day & Street, or the Jekyll and Hyde demeanor proves difficult to determine the turbo choice and subsequent power tune. Loving the low end spool, but I've read here that JWT 550s are not recommended for the Manual 5sp 300zx... However theres lots of praise for the new GTX turbos. But will GTX be overkill? (I want to maintain stock engine internals for now)... So keep the opinions coming and any recommendations for my setup would be returned with heaps of praise and gratitude!!!
