Hey everyone! I've been researching a few JDM front clips for my friend who will be doing a TT swap in his '93 2+2, (Yes, he knows what he's getting himself into haha!) Anyways, I have some puzzling compression results from one of the clips. Here they are in order: 185, 190, 185, 185, 182, 185 I know stock compression for a VG30DETT is 174, so I'm pretty confused. Also, this was a dry test was performed on a cold engine. Normally I'd be staying far away from this clip, but since all cylinders are within 8psi, I figured I'd ask for some opinions before writing it off all together. I wouldn't imagine carbon buildup would produce numbers that high on a cold test. Perhaps significantly advanced timing? Maybe even an NA block?? What do you guys think? I have a few other solid options with 150-160psi cold.
