Message brakes. I have an 02 Jetta Wagon TDI, wife 06 Jetta TDI Sedan, Mom has TDI Beetle, and brother has BMW X5 Diesel. The 06 and X5 always have brake dust on the wheels and the smoked look. OEM VW pads are ATE. From what I've read recently they are also rear biased compared to older cars which seems to have the sensation of higher braking power. I just added the 350Z Brembo front calipers and rotors with Ferrodo(Brembo) pads and the royalty performance rear brackets. It definitely has that feeling of braking now.

One thing I've struggled with is getting ALL of the air out of the lines especially with a 94+ ABS system and no bleed nipples. I've come to the conclusion it takes a computer to activate the actuator in order to move all of the air out of it. At least that's how my VW's are and I have VAG COM to do it.
