So a few days ago I redlined the heck out of my Z in 2nd gear. When I shifted to third gear I noticed a rattle/slaping sound comming from my engine internally to be specific and it only happens around 3k rpm and on start up. Other then that my Z idles perfectly and does not make the slapping sound under 3kpm or over about 5k rpm any ideas on what it could be? I have not done a compression test just yet thats going to happen this weekend when I have time and thinking of tearing down the timing cover in hopes that my belt just jumped a couple of teeth. What's your guys opionion on what it could be?
This might help you get a better idea of the sound https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=440EctdRadM&feature=youtube_gdata_player
