Message Speaking from experience I just had a new engine built and I experience cold start up oil pressures around 90psi, they were higher when the engine literally had 100 miles on it so it's possible to see those results.

Discrepancies are easy to dismiss by saying "the OEM pressure unit is crap!" however I would be shocked if it was THAT inaccurate. I can't really account for seeming large gap here other than to say the lack of dampening in the fuel pressure gauge might have a larger impact than you would initially think.
