| I thought that was sort of like a "drag" adjustment on a fishing reel from what I read online. There is a piece you can tighten down against the pinion shaft to add drag to the rotation of the pinion. Maybe I misunderstood it. Other racks do seem to have a nut on the bottom of the rack you can tighten to draw the pinion closer to the rack in much the same way as you tighten the nut on the differential input yoke to close of the gap btwn the ring and pinion. Wondering if I shouldn't try to put new seals in my old rack now...... Thanks for the input,
