But my understanding/thinking (misdirected and flawed possibly) is sure, a bit higher compression is fine for a mid to low boost and moderate power car, (again variables come in to play) but for higher power and those looking to run higher boost numbers lower compression is what you want. Then the ideal set-up for a mainly street driven car may be a set of 550bb, 9to1 c/r, full breather mods, full 3" exhaust, built heads, and 14-17psi, 93 oct. I would think that this set-up would not take full advantage of the breather mods and would be more efficient with a lower c/r at that boost? The OP never mentioned build intentions that I saw.
