You will burn gas more efficiently at the expense of more friction and heat. I'd just get rid of the flashing in your coolant passages, then change your oil pump out for a new one. Make sure that your tune is spot on and don't recklessly increase boost on the fly. My 2-stroke bike runs well with a 11.5:1 compression ratio, however I make sure to keep the AFR rich. I don't know about 4 stroke engines but a study I read argues that anything up to 12.5:1 compression ratios improves performance in gasoline 2 stroke engines. The question is: are you capable of tuning and dealing with a high compression engine?
