| I have found that people think both ways with spool up time. I personally think in the same direction as ash on this one. Higher compression -> cramming less air into the chamber -> less combusted gas coming out of the exhaust -> longer spool time. I dont know if this is the right way to look at it... but the mechanical energy stuff make sense too. I found THIS post, showing that two very reliable sources think in the opposite direction. I want to go with higher compression and something along the lines of JWT 530's. You cant push that much boost anyways, might as well go with small responsive turbos. I am in no way an engine cycle expert, this was just my thinking. Still have a lot of research to do.
