Message finding a re-conditioned Zed engine is a difficult thing (particularly a good job replacing all suspect components)... I'm not sure anyone in the UK is qualified to do that job as there is so much more than just replacing bits to these engines.
A reconditioned engine would still have old components and if you got one that had been really well done it would cost you a small fortune (i.e. £5k).

It comes down to just how much you love your Zed… from memory a second hand working engine will sent you back around £2000 installed tuned and working well at Zedworld (and that would be guaranteed)
I wasn’t happy to just have a standard engine back in mine after my last engine fell apart so went for a rebuilt short block with forged internals.
The block cost me £1200 and the other parts and labour cost about £3500…
Plus travel and hire car the total bill came in around £5000…
If I’d purchased the internals my self and had my block rebuilt the cost would have been even higher. Not to mention just how long it would have taken.

My advice is get the best second hand engine you can afford and get that put in… at Zedworld…..
Or at least take it to Zedworld after wards for a complete Service.
There is at least one other guy on the UK forum that builds engines but UK think he’s in Bristol.
