It allows you to run higher boost safely. The 14 psi you got probably comes from boost jets installed in your car. You should know whether this is true before proceeding. (did you check yet, as suggested in your other thread?) Interesting, my car came to me the same way: a JWT Ecu, boost jets, and no other upgrades. Not even a pop-charger. I thought the car seemed too quick for 300 hp, so I checked as you did, and found it. And you're right, that mod by itself is not earth-shaking. But it can be the basis for lots more power. The most power per dollar is this: a pop charger, cheap split dp's, and a cat-back. After that, power gets more expensive.
