Message You may be experiencing what is called clutch chatter, which is completely normal on a 6-puck, it's a squeaky metal to metal sound that lurches and shutters. It can become quite annoying but when it grabs it won't let go which is the beauty of a 6 puck but is also very unforgiving and painful to deal with in traffic.

The throw out bearing if failing... in my experience, will be a sliding sound that only occurs in a binary fashion, it will either go away when the clutch is pressed (disengaged) or go away when the clutch is fully engaged.

*disclaimer*: all that I say may be true or I may be completely wrong and I accept that.... please, it is your duty as another person on the internet to in-politely tell me how wrong I am :)
