| 1 why would the starter not turn the motor over.... coincidence that the starter failed? 2 perhaps a stroke of luck would have it that your timing jumped off by a few teeth on the condition that the idler pulley failed just enough to lose tension to skip a tooth or 3? I would imagine if you can successfully push the car in gear then there is a chance the valves have not yet made contact with the pistons. Either way I would start pricing good used cylinder heads, or perhaps a complete rebuild is in order due to the high mileage.... it would be cheaper to get a JDM low mileage motor at that point.
*disclaimer*: all that I say may be true or I may be completely wrong and I accept that.... please, it is your duty as another person on the internet to in-politely tell me how wrong I am :) "The dreaded 2nd windshiled wiper swipe when you turn it off its almost like tis showing you that it's boss, and it doesn't have to stop when you tell it to :("-College Boy (discussion on ptu relocation) "No good reason to put it there anyway. -Bernie (NoVA) False -vorpalZ False. -Bernie (NoVA) You're correct, there are 3 good reasons -vorpalZ False. -Bernie (NoVA) Wow, right again, just remembered another, make that 4 -vorpalZ" XD
