Message Get a hole saw and borrow/rent a beefcake drill if you don't have one. I drilled the cup out after removing them from the shell it was a pain, better to do it while it's still attached. After cutting the center cup out knock the edges of the remaining metal shell inward to make some perches that you can put a drift or socket on. That works a lot easier then trying to find something that has the exact diameter of the shell. Have a big hammer, a five pounder seems to work well. Three wacks with that and it was out.

For install trying to pound them is pretty hard because they don't really center very well and the urethane just makes the hammer bounce off. So I built this out of some scrap 2x4s and cheapie hardware store threaded rod I had lying around. Made install easy once everything was lined up.

When you go to install the differential, the metal cups don't need to be all flush with the edge of the urethane like they are with the shorter rubber bushing. Just have them about half way in and get the front bar installed. Then you can tighten up the rear nuts and it will pull the cups into place.
