Message then the firewall to the stock ground point on the transmission, ABSOLUTELY no starting issues whatsoever. You don't need to run an additional wire for ground as long as you have a healthy contact point for the ground cable to attach to on both ends. I highly recommend insulating/looming the positive cable well and run it through the center of the vehicle, avoid any spots under carpet that can be stepped on or pushed against or any sort of surface where you can place items on top of. I also purchased/recommend a quality high amperage circuit breaker which is a good safety measure when you consider you're running a constantly live 15ft battery cable through your car..... THAT is a potential fire waiting to happen :)
Get yourself a quality pass-through bolt that is insulated well.
I put mine straight down from the Radio.

*disclaimer*: all that I say may be true or I may be completely wrong and I accept that.... please, it is your duty as another person on the internet to in-politely tell me how wrong I am :)
