And after doing the valve covers the vehicle ran rough. I heard a hiss noise so I checked for vacuum leaks, none. The more I took the plenum off and checked for leaks and test drove it the louder it got. Eventually on the last test drive the car fell on it's face. Flooring the vehicle would get me going about 1mph; it also can't switch into reverse without dying. The hiss is now super loud and is coming from a cracked manifold runner directly after the head of cylinder 6 bank 2 I think, in front of the cat and a/f sensor + o2 sensor. This is the only reason I can think of which is causing the problem...but why....how? I thought the a/f sensor reads percentages not volume? It doesn't seem like the crack is sucking air in..it feels like 90 psi of compressed air shooting out.
