:unfortunately since these engines are "interference", if the timing belt goes it is extremely likely that there is other damage. :this can be: piston, con rod, bearing, valve, cam crank.. etc.. so it's really no worth messing with an old engine unless you can have it properly and well checked over. :However even with checks if there is a fault in a component and you rebuild with the old parts you could have a catastrophic failure further down the line... and after spending all that money who would want that? :what are you looking for? :a lot more power than the standard engine or just a standard system (with a few mods). :and yes if you opt for high power you will be spending lots of money. :best of luck.I was thinking of a Mild build, like a stage 4 0r 5. I want the entire engine rebuilt with new pistons/cams/valves etc. but a guy at Autozone said it would be better just to replace it with a JDM Motor. If I rebuild mine, it will fit back in the car with no problem cause it come from that car.
