So I have battled hesitation on my Z for months now. My Z is a 90 with a 93 N/A Engine. The CAS is spun very far clockwise (Ignition timing is currently at the 25-30 range) Now, I know it is supposed to be at 15 BTDC. So, I use my timing light and set it to 15. Car seems real nice, everything seems more smoother. But the only problem is the car will hesitate. In its current setting of 25-30 degrees it does not hesitate. Only when I lower the ignition timing it hesitates. Now, a few months back a Mechanic had messed with the TB stop screw on the driver side. (I counted the threads and its about 6 threads clockwise currently.) So, What Im thinking is that I would have to lower my ignition timing to 15 degrees and then adjust the TB stop screw to compensate? The passenger side TB I have never messed with. Also, upon looking at the TBs. I noticed that the driver side TB at wide open throttle is actually more open then the passenger side. So I would need to get those in synch.I basically need someone to confirm that Im on the right track before I start to mess with any TBs or anything. If anyone can help me it would be very appreciated. Thanks.
