Message	i was doing a little reading recently all over the place and found that a lot of the compressor surge problems (at least the ones i was reading about) that people were having came from improperly set bov's. i basically found that the surges come from the bov's being to tight, causing them to not blow off/recirc right when you let off the clutch and sending the air the wrong way. anyways, you may be right in the connection you made. the strong vacuum not allowing the valve to open, and in turn giving you the compressor surge. i have to admit im not 100% on this. but seems to make some sense. also might be useful to know what youre boosting at.
