I just got thru doing my valve cover gaskets and it wasn't easy. You have to remove the intake plenum and if your's was like mine, never been off, its a 6-8 hour swearing/throwing wrenches and just getting your hack saw and cutting thru everything else, good time. The rack and pinion is probably fine. Like Zul8tr said, clean it up real good with a pressure washer if you can and watch where it is coming from. Mine was the high pressure hose and the return hose for power steering and I had Specialty Z take care of my rear main seal (requires tranny drop) and a few odd and end leaks and finally my valve cover gaskets.. But, fingers crossed, for the first time my Z isn't wetting its bed. Don't be scared of the Z, once you start wrenching on it, it gets easier, as you can delete alot of extra stuff and the motor gets easier and easier to work on. Good luck and your Z sounds fine to me. Ken 91TT
