Ok. So I am new to the z world. I picked up a 90 NA for dirt cheap and I love the cars. I put a good bit of money into it getting it running right and had it right for a couple weeks. Now I have a problem where if you wiggle the main (efi harness?) behind the upper intake plenum number 3 coil pack loses spark. I know that this is a short of some kind in the harness. with that being said. I ran a wire straight from the ecu to the ptu and straight from the ptu to the coil eliminating the harness between the three or so I thought. And same problem. Engine ran fine then you wiggle the harness and it starts missing. It threw a code 21 for a couple of starts but that has sense disappeared. Any Ideas as to what circuit or wire this short may be occurring on? I would be ok with running replacement wire if someone can help me find the bad one. I don't know much about this cars electrical system. The mechanical I can do, The electrical. Well. It is beyond me. I know I should probably replace the entire harness but I am trying to hold off as I plan to do a TT swap somewhere around March-April beings I got the car so cheap. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have searched and searched and I have not found anything.
