| Quick background. I traded for my z and found out after my purchase a laundry list of problems and stripped bolts which I had expected to find in small incriments but whoever did this work was very shoddy. About a month ago I resealed and painted all the valve covers, rerouted my pcv, replaced all hoses (fuel, vacuum, iac, ect). Won't get to far into everything past done. Now its time for the timing job. Question 1 - lower timing cover was never there. I had to buy one on eBay. Without that cover is there any alternate method for setting timing besides guessing? Question 2 - how do most of you guys fill the pits in the hard water pipes? I used jb weld and sanded it down and painted everything wrinkle black. Question 3 - any other suggestions while I'm this deep? Plan on degreasing and cleaning everything including the front motor.
