Have you checked all of your fuses? It could be a faulty key fob too, though, but if you test find the signal by checking the wires back in the hatch as you attempt to click it, if you see no response you can check up front where the brain control box is (don't quote me on that, I'm not positive where the brain is without looking but iirc per jodecys alarm install post from years ago it's near the ecu). You can look up the alarm install writeup to test different areas to see if your fob is performing, but if you make no progress I'd probably recommend testing a new fob before changing the brains of the alarm system out.
