Message Have you contacted who built the engine for you? Most times a supplier or engine builder (me being one so I know) gives warranties on assemblies.

The only way to diagnose the problem though is to run a few tests. For starters, you're positive its a blown headgasket? Have white smoke/steam out the tail pipe? Have leaking coolant from engine etc etc? Have you done a compression check? Leak down test? Check spark plugs?

What type of tune were you on? Was it tuned for 17psi? and i don't mean a chip..a physical dyno session tuning the engine. Looking at your profile it seems you have all the correct supporting mods. So the next thing is to look at the other side of the equation.

Was the engine built properly? Were the deck surfaces machined properly. Were the fasteners installed correctly and tq'd down to specification? Did you get a build sheet with your engine telling you all this information so you have proof of workmanship etc etc? Have there been problems with the engine leading up to this failure that you were aware about that you had looked at previously after you purchased the engine?

Theres a lot to take into consideration but more often than not its either one of two things...owner neglect in keeping up with the engine or the company/person who built the engine didn't do the correct job.
