Message I have a motor on the stand that recently received new turbos, injectors, timing belt, wp, etc. As far as I can remember the timing was dead on when I installed and tensioned the belt. New OEM belt, lined up the lines with the marks on the gears, etc.

I was installing the crank pulley and decided to spin the motor by hand few times, and I could hear air being pushed out of cylinder #1 on the intake side (upper plenum is removed) almost as if the valves aren't closing all the way. Any clue what could cause this? I've done this routine a number of times before and nothing was out of the ordinary, maybe I just hadn't paid attention to the noises before when I spun the motor. Would this have anything to do with VTC perhaps?

Thanks in advance!
