| I got a 3rd brake light from a 2006 CLK that was rear ended. Everything was intact minus the red lens, and power harness. I held onto it thinking I would fab it to the upper part of the glass of the hatch but ended up with this instead. Part number to the light is A2098200556 if anyone is interested.

 This is where I did most of the shaving
 Hardest part of the project was cracking up the OEM TBL. I ended up using the thinnest cutting disc I had with my dremel tool and slowly cut around it. Had to really take my time here as I only needed to cut through the red lens. Here it is opened. The middle light diffuser was not used
 The light was almost a perfect fit, I had to shave off one LED. Soldered on the power wires and it was time for some JB weld.
 Once everything was set, popped everything back on and sealed it up with some silicone.
