As others have suggested, do a compression test, and if you have access to a scope, have a good look inside the #4 cylinder. As for the ECU showing the detenotion sensor code 14 times, this doesn't mean that the ECU detected detonation, but rather, the car started 14 times and the ECU detected that it cannot read the det. sensor. This means that it has gone into a different map. I would compare your 100 octane fuel & ignition timing maps to the low octane maps to see what's going on. If they are significantly different (i.e. the low octane map is putting in less fuel or has more advanced timing), that could be enough to trigger a lean condition / detonation. It would be safer to have the low octane maps match your 100 octane tune, or be slightly modified from that tune (less timing, more fuel).
