Message I am a couple of hours of getting everything buttoned down after installing a Wire Specialties EFI harness and Nismo 740cc injectors and Stillen SMICs when it dawned on me, can I drive the car with the new injectors without having a tune for it?

Currently the stock ECU is chipped after getting the car tuned at Specialty Z. It was tuned for stock 370cc injectors, stock SMICs and single pop. I plan on getting it re-tuned but that won't be for a little while until I get a Selin dual intake kit. Could I safely drive the car without having to worry that the tune is for the stock injectors? Also, at the moment the EBC is set at 11 psi. I don't plan on adjusting the EBC until it's tuned, just want to drive it around a little bit since it has been sitting for a few months. Thanks.

I have nightmares about that happening...I'd be the poor bastard you'd hear about on the news that gets killed by a softball-size chunk while spreading out my body over the hood and screaming "Nooo!" (Having a conversation about hail damage) - BradZ (FL) on March 25, 2005 at 9:56 PM

Tell your friend that you could take a dump, light it on fire and that would be hotter shit than his car. Probes suck, that's just all there is to it. - 300ZXpert (someday) on April 04, 2005 at 11:35 PM
