Message My p/s window started rattling on the way up and down so I thought I would adjust the tracks. I ordered top window rollers per my search findings but upon inspection found the lower rollers were worse than the upper. There’s 1 upper and 2 lower plastic rollers on each door. I replaced the upper and lower rollers and their caps.

I was told by Courtesy and Z1 the lower rollers were no longer available. However, Courtesy does sell the “glass kit” for $227 + shipping which includes the rollers. Concept Z had both upper and lower rollers in stock.

Sand here in south Florida gets in the grease and acts like sand paper. I cleaned, reinstalled and adjusted the tracks. I used graphite for the tracks and new rollers. I had to work around the Stinger insulating mat I had installed previously. Cleaned everything and vacuumed inside the door, found a screw. Everything needed tightening and I secured anything that would rattle, vibrate or flop when the door is shut.

I couldn’t find chrome door handles so I had a local guy who “air brushes cell phone cases” brush a spare pair of handles for me. He sprayed them “Dark Chrome” and covered that with a clear coat. We’ll see how they hold up!

I was immediately impressed at how much easier both doors shut and the glass lines up correctly. I need to do a high-speed run to test for leaks.

I found these 2 threads to be most helpful.
