Message	it's not as uncommon as you you would think to have a blown head gasket. just a very little problem will cause cylinder gasses to be pushed into the water/coolant system (or oil or both). there is a simple test to see if there are combustion gasses in the coolant. good idea to rule that out before spending money on other stuff. overheating is the arch enemy of the alloy head.
