| Guys I'm going through the Z and re-visiting my safety equipment. This is something I seriously overlooked when I put this car together several years ago. The fact the car is trapping 140's now, and I'm now responsible for the life of another being has prompted me to go back in and do things right. First big no-no that I did was purchased Sparco Speed seats. Comfortable, light, inexpensive, and good looking - however lacking a submarine strap hole in the bottom of the seat. Even though it did not have the strap hole, I ran the 5th point around the front of the seat - digging into some info lately I found out do not do this... Second no-no was mounting the lap belts to the rear seat bracket locations. This gives the wrong angle. I'm curious to see how you guys (if anyone has gotten this far into it) have anchored the belts with the limited space we have in our street cars. I have hardly any clearance under my seat to provide appropriate mounting but I'm working towards it. I've got my hands on some eye-bolts that pass through the floorboard and use reinforcement plates on the bottom side. I've also got snap-hooks for my submarine and lap belts that clip on to the eye bolts

I've also got some new Corbeau seats coming that have the submarine hole. My concern is that I'm not going to have enough space to accommodate the appropriate angles in conjunction with the snap-hook going on the end of the belt, and the 3 bar piece that keeps tension on the belt. Also, I have only seen one manufacturer offer belts that have the snap-hook integrated (Schroth) however they only offer 6-pt systems (which I really know I dont have room for) I can't seem to find a lot of good information on whether or not I really need 3" belts or if 2" belts will do. I currently have some RCI Platinum 3" belts that are due to be re-certified but am debating on just buying new ones if something better will work Can anyone add some guidance?
