Message	Reverse the timing light pick-up on the loop to see if it gets more stable. Or go to an auto parts store and get a spark plug wire with boot and cap. Put in in a small heater hose to make it stiff, and pull the #1 coil, attach it to the top of plug wire, put it down in the tube onto the plug, and use that for timing.
