So since my 300Zx has been put together it hasn't really been driveable. It will start up when it is cold but after it warms up it won't start back. When it does run it backfires and idles high and flucatuates. So I took the timing belt covers off I need to replace VTC sprockets and cam seals again anyhow. When the #1 piston is at TDC the cams all line up at the timing marks but the crank is at about 35 degrees. Does this mean something is wrong with timing. Also the CAS was taken off originally without being marked. I found one spot that the car will start with it at but other than that if you move it or after it warms up it won't start back. Any help with this? Is it a base timing issue or CAS issue?
