Message even after close to 20 years (mine is a 1995 SMZ) this car never ceases to amaze me. damn I love this car. I took the car out for a spin to put on some real miles on the car this past weekend and to enjoy this awesome fall weather with the tops off. The car ran perfectly, shifting smoothly through all the gears and it was a perfect day until... some asx cuts me off by running a red and then forcing me to slam on the brakes. There was a brief jolt and the car definitely stopped but then immediately after that the brake pedal became completely soft and now I have absolutely no brakes. there is also no brake fluid left in the reservoir. luckily i was only a 1/4 mile away from home so i just drove it home where it is now parked.

I don't mind taking it the mechanic but since I'm in Korea, I will most likely have to order the parts from the US which means that the car would just be sitting at the mechanics shop until the parts arrived. So, I would like to diagnose the car first and then order the parts and take the car in with the parts.

I would appreciate any guidance and thoughts on what you think could be the problem (i'm guessing either master cylinder, hoses, or calipers?). Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!
