Message	You said you checked timing, but without the car running how did you check it? Did you pull the covers off, line it all up and verify that way? If your not familiar with removing the timing belt research it on this site. There are dots on the cam gears, crank sprocket, and the back plates behind these components. If you have not done this, start here. It's the only way to REALLY verify timing on an engine that won't start.
